Roots was founded to put children and families first. Here’s what that means for us:
Flexible scheduling: maybe your child needs extra time, or maybe they do best with several short sessions closer together. Let’s find a program that fits their needs. Roots offers ongoing sessions, intensive programs, and one-time consultations.
The same therapist, every time: Our children deserve consistency.
Home and community-based services: No more fighting traffic for an hour for 30 minutes of movement. I’ll meet you where your child is comfortable: at home, daycare, or even at their favorite park .
Integrated approaches: Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), neurodevelopmental treatment, and traditional strengthening and mobility.
Emily specializes in treating children with developmental delays, movement disorders, and genetic and neurological conditions through both traditional and intensive therapy models.
She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and has post-graduate training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI, introductory level C), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), suit therapy, and early childhood development.
Emily enjoys collaborating with patients and families to find creative solutions for movement and inclusion in the activities most meaningful to them, whether sitting at the family dinner table, competing in adaptive sports, or playing with siblings.
Outside of work, you’ll find Emily baking, hiking, and wondering how her kiddo could possibly be growing so fast.
Roots comes to you! We are happy to serve children in their homes, daycares, or even at their favorite park.
Roots is a cash-based mobile physical therapy service. We do not bill insurance. 60 minute sessions are $105, with travel included for locations within 15 miles of the San Antonio airport.
